PARTNERSHIP GIVES DIGITAL BOOST TO JOBSEEKERS
A NICHE recruitment company has turned to digital experts who work with industry giants including Coca-Cola and P&G, to give job seekers instant online access to the cream of the region's creative jobs.
Advertising, marketing and digital media recruitment specialist Concept Personnel commissioned Tyneside-based Industrial Strength to create a new website to serve its clients and candidates across the North East and Scotland.
The new site – at www.conceptpersonnel.co.uk - means job seekers no longer need to register or log in to search for details of vacancies, and a dynamic search function helps them find potential vacancies by using keywords. The site includes a newsletter sign up facility, a jobs RSS feed and an 'auto complete' function for forms when users want to register their interest in a vacancy. Links to Facebook, twitter and a blog, plus the latest search engine optimisation (SEO) techniques have all been used to boost search engine rankings and make the site easier to find.
Richard Myers, managing director of Industrial Strength, said: “Concept came to us with a very clear brief. They wanted a user-friendly site that would give job hunters instant access to vacancy details, rate highly in search engine ratings, give them better marketing information and be easier to update.
“It was a great project for the team to work on, because the client knew exactly what they wanted. We're not a ‘one size fits all' type of business so we listened carefully to their requirements and built a site using the best available technology tools to strike the right balance between functionality and visual appeal.
Concept's managing director Jo Carter is delighted with the results: “I turned to Industrial Strength because I knew their reputation for top quality customer service and in-depth technical knowledge combined with a jargon-free, honest approach.
“We are really pleased with the outcome. Because the new site is easier to use and has a faster and more intelligent search function, the number of job searches and candidate registrations have increased, which means we are constantly adding to our bank of top quality candidates and matching people with jobs.
“We update the site several times a day and the new structure allows us to spend much less time and effort on that. Completely revising the way we present the content has made the site easier for users to navigate, so they can quickly and easily view new vacancies and access tips and advice pieces that will help them in their search for a new role.
“My job is to run the business, not to spend hours being a slave to the website, so I wanted a web partner who would listen to what I wanted, and then make it happen, which is exactly what we achieved. We have already had very good feedback from users, and we could not be happier with the results.”
